The band adapts the line up to suit your event and budget, with a rhythm section, vocals, and a horn section. As you add more horns, the sound becomes richer and fuller.

• Quartet - Featuring vocals and rhythm section (Piano, Bass, Drums)
• Quintet - Featuring vocals, rhythm section, and 1 horn
• 6 piece - Featuring vocals, rhythm section and a 2 piece horn section
• 7 piece - Featuring vocals, rhythm section and a 3 piece horn section
• 9 piece - Featuring vocals, rhythm section and a 5 piece horn section

Our band plays from musical chart arrangements written specially for us, faithful to the original songs and style of the legendary big band arrangers such as Nelson Riddle and Billy May. When there are 2 or more horn instruments they phrase together to give a “mini big band” effect, the same as a horn section in a big band.

• Duo/Trio with Piano/Keyboard player and Double Bass

This option is ideally suited to functions where background music is required, for example a cocktail event or reception, and adds a live yet mellow atmosphere to any event. This package can also be included as an introduction to an evening, for example before the band plays or as guests are arriving.

Between sets and when the band stops playing you can continue the music with our Auto DJ Disco service. Ask for more details.

The Band works in partnership with Taina Kortelainen, a professional dance teacher, choreographer and dance champion, who can prepare you for your very special first dance to the Stirling Austin Band and even organise a Hen party dance session with a video souvenir!
