Band Options

Choose the band's line up to suit your event and budget:

• Quintet - Featuring male vocal, rhythm section, and 1 horn
• 6 piece - Featuring male vocal, rhythm section and a 2 piece horn section
• 7 piece - Featuring male vocal, rhythm section and a 3 piece horn section
• 9 piece - Featuring male vocal, rhythm section and a 5 piece horn section

As you add more horns, the sound becomes richer and fuller. We can also add female vocals to each band size to extend the repertoire further.

What sets us apart from other Swing Bands is our ability to transform in a party band with a wide repertoire of Soul, Motown and Pop tunes to appeal to a wider audience & really make the party come alive. See the "Swing & Soul Band" site by clicking on the link above.

Quartet (Piano, Vocals, Bass, Drums)

Ideal for smaller, more intimate gatherings to create a sophisticated and mellow atmosphere in the style of Tony Bennett and Burt Bacharach, allowing you and your guests to talk & be heard whilst still getting people on the dance floor! Vocal Duo/Trio (Piano, Vocals, Bass)

For more intimate events, Stirling can also perform with a simple Piano or Piano/Bass accompaniment. This line-up can also be included as an introduction to an evening, for example before the band/DJ plays or as guests are arriving.

Solo Guitar & Vocal accoustic for background

For more intimate background music, Stirling can also offer an accoustic guitar & vocal repertoire, covering many different styles including jazz and swing, blues, classic pop and most contemporary songs which can be adapted to fill occasions with a relaxing, warm ambience. This is perfect for drinks/wedding receptions, ceremonies  and restaurants where a smooth and sophisticated live ambience is required for guests to talk and still be heard. Wedding First Dance Lessons

The Band works in partnership with Taina Kortelainen, a professional dance teacher, choreographer and dance champion, who can prepare you for your very special first dance and even organise a Hen party dance session with a video souvenir! For more details go to the wedding first dance section.
